Traditional die-cut stickers have a fundamental flaw when applied to premium rigid goods: you can always see the edge of the substrate. If you are branding a matte black motorcycle helmet, a powder-coated tumbler, or a custom electronic casing, a visible clear border ruins the aesthetic. You need it to look like direct screen printing, but without the massive setup costs.
UV DTF (Direct-to-Film) is a transfer technology. Instead of printing on a vinyl sticker base, we print UV-cured ink and high-build varnish directly onto a special carrier film.
When you apply it to your product and peel away the carrier film, only the ink and adhesive remain. There is no background, no clear border, and no material bulk. The result is a raised, 3D-textured graphic that looks and feels exactly as if it was painted or screen-printed directly onto the hardware.
For small to medium manufacturing runs, UV DTF is replacing traditional pad printing and screen printing.
